The mobile/handheld device market has exploded and people are using the web wherever they are - in the car, on the couch, etcetera. They're browsing on a screen that fits comfortably in their hands, not sitting at a desktop computer.Handheld devices display most sites as miniature versions, requiring lots of pinching around and double tapping to read text or navigate. This is annoying.
Some website "solutions" target iPhones or iPads, ignoring the growing (non-Apple) handheld market. Others have entirely separate mobile sites, which often provide limited content experiences. Again, annoying.
